About

A career built on continuity and conviction.

Charles Kenahan is a seasoned wealth management expert from Rhode Island, with a career spanning more than thirty-five years focused on strategic asset allocation, risk management, and comprehensive portfolio oversight.

He began his career at Morgan Stanley in Boston, serving as Managing Director from June 1994 to December 2007. During that period he managed financial portfolios for high-net-worth individuals and corporations, and was twice named the firm's Top Corporate Services Adviser for the Americas.

In 2007, Charles and his entire team made a strategic move to Merrill Lynch, where he continued as Managing Director until July 2019. Under his leadership, the team's assets under management exceeded $1 billion. He led several signature initiatives, including the equity recapitalization of True Temper Sports, which delivered a threefold return in two and a half years.

Beyond his corporate work, Charles is deeply involved in his community. He served on the Board of Consultants for Portsmouth Abbey School, his alma mater, where he chaired a successful $50 million capital campaign from 2006 to 2012. He also serves on the boards of SailNewport, the Rhode Island State Police Museum Foundation, and Aritaur Communications, and continues to contribute to the finance committee of Saint Mary's Church.
